Outside of the World Series of Poker, it doesn’t get any better than the Full Tilt Online Poker Series followed almost immediately by the PokerStars World Championship of Online Poker. In fact, the WCOOP is entering its seventh year and starts on September 5th. It’s come a long way since the first tournament series was held back in 2002. This time around, there is an incredible $30 million in guaranteed prize money. That’s bigger than the gross domestic product of several small countries. PokerStars has faith that poker players will come out in droves for the WCOOP. And why would the online poker room believe anything differently? The total guaranteed prize money is doubled in 2008. Let’s take a look at what Mac poker players can expect during the upcoming WCOOP.
What makes the WCOOP, like the FTOPS, so attractive is that Mac poker players can download a full version of PokerStars onto their computers. There’s no need to fumble around with Parallels or Boot Camp. All of the bells and whistles that Windows players are able to experience are available for Mac users as well. That and the $30 million up for grabs should be more than enough for you to sign up for PokerStars. Here is a look at the schedule:
